A New Start!

Well, even though it is raining the kids and I are off to a really late start. Jim called us this morning and told he is our new "mean" landlord, and we can move into our new home as soon as the $$$ is paid. We are very excited! Now that is taken care of, James is feeling much better and wants to go see Granna's chickens and play in the lake. We will be heading off tonight and driving until I can see no more. I have so much to do and so little time. I need to get packed, go to the store and get to Chicago by 6:30 to sign the lease. Ok, well it's now 2:00 pm so I better get going. I can't wait to put some pictures up of the new place. YOU BETTER COME SEE IT IN PERSON THOUGH!!!!

Getting Ready

Well, today I am getting ready to head out East to go see my family. I am a bit anxious considering that I will be driving by myself with the 3 kids. I'm thinking I should buy a really long fun movie for the kids when they get really crazy. Jake is going to meet up with us on Thursday the 3rd and will drive back with us on the 6th which will be a great help for me. I have so much to do and so little time. I did get our car cleaned out which was needed forever ago! I have lots to do so I'll let you know how it goes.

New goals!!!!

Ok, so I was thinking of new goals today of how I can get back to my "before" marriage body. I was looking at one of Jakes cousins blogs and she showed herself in her wedding dress after having 3 kids. I now have more determination then ever to do this. I'm not sure how I'm going to do it but for sure I guess I will have to take my 24 pack of Cherry Pepsi back to WalMart. Shux.... Oh, and the bag of Lindt chocolate I bought for tonights movie that I never got to, Oh and the 6 pack of Hersheys chocolate bars, marshmallows, and hmmmm.... what else. Maybe I'll just take them in to James class and let the teachers deal with them on a sugar high... LOL!!! So, you may not see any pictures soon but keep reading and once I fit into that sucker I'll be prancin' down the streets. If your lucky you may see me in my prom dress.... Hmmm... Maybe not! =)

BIG NASTY SPIDER... YOU LITTLE POP!

Ok, so I must be absolutely CRAZY!!!! I think everyone knows how much I hate spiders. Especially since I had a REALLY bad experience once. The short story,,,, it was on the door, I killed it and it pooped something into my eye. It was TRAUMA.... I have NEVER wanted to see or even be near a spider ever since then. Ok, so tonight I was doing my internet stuff and a BIG nasty spider came running across the floor. I don't want to tell the words that came out of my mouth but they weren't very kind. I wanted to go get my neighbors soooooo bad and knowing that it's 11:30 pm and I'm NOT in the attire to go see them I had to step it up. I took my shoe and told the #$^%^%@ spider to go to #$#@@#... and hit him the hardest I could with my favorite pair of DR. Martins. Here is the outcome!!!! I am the bomb!!! =) ps... Jake you will be cleaning this up when you get home.... of course now I am a child of God is playing on my playlist. SORRY!!!!

THE FLOOD....

As we know that Cedar Rapids has totally been demolished by the awful rain and breaking of the levi. Davenport has also gotten it's share of some nasty flooding. Here are some pictures. We took a ride down there yesterday and as you can see it isn't as bad as Cedar Rapids but it's enough to take a kyak down River Drive...

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY!!!!

WOW!!!! Tonight I have seen the storm of the century. And of course the pictures I took didn't show up. The rain was pouring down in gallons and our street was completely flooding. I was a bit nervous when I saw the water coming sky high out of the drainiage hole. I am getting more and more hesitant about staying in the midwest. Especially with all the weather. I don't even remember storms like this on the east coast. It's been so long though! I am hoping the worst is over. On the good side when I went to check on the kids this is what they looked like... I know, don't we all wish we could be kids. They have NO clue. I love them....

Hi Daddy, I miss you!

I hate bragging but I just have to say I have the most beautiful daughter. Jake has been living in Aurora for the past 2 weeks and I'm thinking that he is missing the kids so I am going to be putting a whole bunch of movies and pictures up so he can keep in some contact with them. Hope you enjoy!!! By the way, James has been taking over Jakes evening feeding giving Sierra a bottle. Thank you James...

Is it a given???

When we went to Aurora on Saturday we checked out a few places. One place had animals painted on the wall. James insisted that we shoul move there. The only downfall is that there is not a basement. WHAT DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD DO??? Here are some pictures!

We're off!!!

Today the kids and I are heading off to Aurora to go to Jakes open house at his office. I am happy to meet the people he works with. Thankfully, I was able to spruce up the boys with a haircut. Thank you Camilla!!!! I actually got Jaren this morning and he did a GREAT job! Thank you Jaren. James wanted to give Sierra a haircut so I had to explain to him that it was NOT ok!!!! He got the picture... NO CUT SIERRAS HAIR... EVER!!! He is soooo dang cute! I'm happy to say my little garden is growing quite well... I'm still not sure what is coming up though. Is that bad???? All I know is that it's either Squash, or Peppers. I'm kind of hoping it's peppers though because we are'nt big Squash eaters.
My dad and I chatted yesterday and was offended that my family wasn't on my friends and family list. I then had to explain to him about blogging. I think he gets it now. I do love my family though. You just need to be a blogger to get up on the list! I will hope to post a picture or two of them if I can ever find a picture of them. It's very rare to get a recent picture of you guys... Anyways, we are off!!!!

CONCLUSION....

I've come to the conclusion that finding a place to live is harder than finding a stupid car. I have been on the phone/internet all day long. NOTHING!!! AUGHHHH.. I'm going to bed now!

NOT SOOO BAD!!!

Well, today was Jakes 2nd day of work and he really enjoyed it. I'm so glad. Of course I will miss his face around the house but I am glad he is working. We had such a great day around here. The best part was Jaren eating the cereal though. I still can't get over that! I am happy to say that I was able to put ALL 3 kids down at 7:30 tonight. I only started around 6 knowing that I needed to have some ME time. It has been quite a night. I do miss Jakers though. Jake has been looking at some places to live in the Aurora area. One place had a field the size of a football field. The only downfall is there are traintrax right near the house. I told Jake we would need a megaphone to get the kids inside because the area is so big. It is in a very nice community and the owner is a retired school teacher and says the schools are great there. So, that's a plus. I am trying to think of a schedule since Jake won't be here for awhile. It seems strange having one less person in the house. At least he won't have to commute the whole 2 hours. THANK YOU OLSON CHIROPRACTOR!!!

Guess he was hungry?!!!

Well, it's a new day and Jaren still hasn't been eating well. I've been on the phone all morning looking for apts etc.... I went downstairs to do some laundry and all of a sudden I could hear a swoosh of something. I went back upstairs and Jaren had emptied the whole box of Granola cereal on the floor. My first instinct was to yell at him because first of all it's MY cereal and it's almost $4.00 a box. I'm not a big cereal fan and it's pretty much the only kind I will eat. I counted to 10 and just laughed and grabbed the camera. I was just greatful he started eating. Guess Jaren is like me. A very expensive eater!!!

FREE!!! FREE AT LAST!!!

Oh what a glorious morning, oh what a glorious day I've got a beautiful feeling everything will go my way.... Today was probably the best day in a few months! Jake FINALLY went off to work this morning. As Jaren and I watched Jake scidadle off in his NEW hot red Nissan Altima I realized DADDY HAS A JOB!!!! It was pouring rain and lightning was everywhere so I was a bit timid about him driving two hours but as soon as he left I felt at ease. So, as soon as the curtains closed and no one was in sight Jaren and I blasted the stereo and started dancing. IT WAS SOOO FUN!!! You can only imagine what we do when Dad is not home. I'm finally going to start my routine back as a mother on her own. Granted, I loved having Jake at home with us but I was just really stressed about financial burdens and not being able to do the things I needed to do. Now that we found a car we now need to find living arrangements in Aurora. I AM NOT LOOKING FORWARD to do that. Anyways, Jaren is wanting to go party some more so0
I need to go.

A Fresh Start!

Today is June 1st 2008.... What!!!! I still can't believe it. May flew by like nothing. Thank goodness though. Yesterday was probably one of the worst days of our family life. We went car hunting and oh what a mess.... We drove from 8:30 am until 10:30 pm looking for cars. Mind you that we were NOT in our minivan and in a Mitsubishi Galant. So, the 3 kids in the back and Jake driving and I in the passengers seat. OK... So now that you have a vision in your head we drove all the way to Westmont IL from Davenport looking for a car for Jake. We thought we had it. We were so excited but at each place we went either something was soooo wrong with the car or... the stinky car was sold. What a mess!!!! So, after 2 trips to Mickey D's McDonalds and a trip to Applebees we got home at 10:30 pm... A very unproductive day to say the least. Today was great though. We went to church and the kids were soooo wonderful. They behaved so well and did not cause any problems. We came home and I thought the kids looked so cute so I decided to take some pictures of them. So, here they are.... I can't figure out how to put them on the bottom so just look up! =)
