Friends Forever

I wanted all of my blog readers to be introduced to our infamous friends the Clements. When we moved here I was very hesitant and negative thinking we wouldn't know anyone or make any friends. Luckily when we got here we found that we actually had neighbors that are LDS. Not only are they LDS they have 5 children around the ages of ours. We have become really great friends and I am blessed everyday that I get an email or a call from my good pal Amy. She is a great person to hang out with and she also has a crazy unique side like me. Amy has taught me the back roads of Montgomery and well a lot of Illinois since we've been here. Usually, when she's not with me and I try to do it myself I get lost. She is now my "GPS"! Here are some pictures of the kids at the Phillips Park Zoo sometime in October. We had a blast there. It's not a huge zoo but they have a bunch of birds, wolves, and elk there which can make my kids happy for about a week. Oh, and MaKayle and Jaren are already BFF!

A day in the life of the crazy Stock Family!

Well, I want to start off and say thankyou for all of your thoughts of us through this chaotic week. Some may not know of the situation with Sierra. I wasn't going to write about it because I didn't want to have any pitty or have people worrying about us. I am still feeling like an awful mother and I can't seem to put myself at ease for leaving my babies alone in the bathtub. Sierra almost left this world on Tuesday night. She drowned in the tub and I luckily got her in the nick of time. She wasn't breathing but came to be after a few seconds. It was really awful for all of us. I don't know what I would do without her. I can't stop thinking of the what if's and why's. I've been trying to look to the Lord for comfort and can't seem to get what I'm looking for. I guess the only thing is that I'm telling this to my friends so they don't make the same mistake I made.
On a good note!!! We went and FINALLY got our family pictures done today. We have been meaning to do it for a long time. Today it seemed like it was the perfect day. Well, before we packed up and got in the car all heck broke loose. The boys were awful, Sierra was spitting food EVERYWHERE. Jake and I were biting our toungs and were not having a good feeling about getting the pictures done. Considering that last time it took 4 hours to get one family picture and it came out awful! As soon as we got there the boys and Sierra were angels. It took us less than 1 hour to get all the poses done and well it took me about 30 minutes to get all the pictures picked out. It was GREAT! I can't thank my kids enough for making me feel so good. This is what I enjoy most. I wish it could always be like this. We went to get ice cream and for a stroll in this little zoo which James and Jaren absolutely love. It was a day we all needed. Now I am heading for bed and hopefully will be able to wake up tomorrow because I am soooo overtired! :) THE END!!!!

Pausing is good....

This morning I woke up and felt a major change in my life. I know what has brought it on but we'll leave that alone. I had a major case of sleepiness after this weekend with all the kids in my house and went to bed super early lastnight. When I woke up I showered, got dressed. Ya know the usual... My boys seemed to be different as well which was good. We had plans to go to the park/zoo with some friends which was really nice. When something went wrong such as my kids not listening or obeying I froze... I wanted to get so mad and yell but I couldn't. I just "paused". I have been doing a lot of pausing today, due to the fact that I was told to "pause" when something was negative. I will hold that in my heart till the day I die. It has made me feel so good that I can pause when something goes wrong. I have been more happy than I have been for awhile. It seems like I have been totally stressed, yelling, and being very negative with my family. Now I know to pause and think of something positive or just know that my children are very special to me and don't deserve to be yelled at. I just thought I would share this with people who are struggling like me and don't pause enough in their days.

James' version of the "Cupid Shuffle"

Ok, so today I logged on to the internet and saw the Dolphins got fined for doing the "Cupid Shuffle". James was upstairs at that moment and heard the song. It is now one of his "faves". So, indeed we can't fine this little cutie pie for his "smooth moves". Sorry about the darkness!

Boys Room and wonderful weekend!

Well, I am "almost" done with the boys room. I just need to paint the border but was so anxious to put some pictures up so you can see.

Also, we were so lucky to have our friends from Davenport come visit. The Marston family with 5 children and "DREW"! Poor Drew had to leave his wife to come deal with our crazy families. It was a fun time. The guys had a seminar to go to so Emmiline and I hung out with our kids. It was pretty crazy if you ask me. I am verrrry tired but had a wonderful time with her and her family. I'm hoping that they'll come back!!!

TAGGED

The rules are:1)Link back to the person who tagged you & post these rules on your blog2)Share random and/or weird facts about yourself3)Tag 7 RANDOM people4)Let them know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

Overall, people say I am the most random person around. I am very spontaneous and do random things like...
~I LOVE to take road trips! I think that is the most random thing about me. I'll pack up, get the kids and we'll go. I love it!
~My best friend and I are CRAZY when we are together. When we were younger we would ride her horse to her house. We would walk across train tracks, over highways to the mall. We were daredevils!!!
~Once I had a belly button ring. The day before President Hinckley told us to take out our piercings I took it out. HOW WIERD IS THAT?
~I've been dipping in the water. I wasn't that skinny so I can't call it "skinny dipping"!!! I was like 5 guys come on!!!!
~I am NOT a perfectionist! I actually like to make mistakes so I can learn how to fix them.
~I get realllllly shy sometimes. People think I'm quite an outgoing person but sometimes I'll meet people and I want to hide in a corner.
~ I've kissed Clay Aiken!!! Eventhough he is gay I still got a piece. WAHOO!!!!
~ I love being pregnant. I wine, moan and tell everyone I hate it but would do it a million more times if possible.
Hope this random and weird enough for you.

Sierra's Room!!!

Well, we finally got it done today! YAY for Sierra's room. I think for my first job painting a room I did a pretty dang good job. It was a lot of work and time but after lots of help we did it. Thank you Jake for the taping and hard work getting the last few stripes done with less than 1/2 an ounce left of paint. Thanks Mom for well, making our outlets purple!!! and making the second coat of paint last longer. Not sure how you did it but wish you were here to do it again. =) And thanks so much Amy for taking the tape off today. It meant so much that you could be part of the process. I still have a few finishing touches that I have to do but other than that I am very happy with the finishing look!
